Yván Gil: The Bolivarian Government pays tribute to Ho Chi Minh today and always

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, participated this Friday in a political-cultural event that commemorates the 135th anniversary of the birth of Ho Chi Minh, in Caracas.

This was reported by the Venezuelan Foreign Minister through his social networks, where he stressed that “it has been a real honor to accompany the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Venezuela, Vu Trung My, as well as other prominent diplomats”, at the event in honor of the Vietnamese leader.

“The Bolivarian Government pays tribute today and always to Ho Chi Minh, an exemplary anti-imperialist revolutionary who is an international symbol of the struggle for sovereignty and self-determination,” Gil said.

Ho Chi Minh, born as Nguyen Sinh Cung, on May 19, 1890, was a Vietnamese revolutionary and anti-colonial politician. Independence leader and founding member of both the French Communist Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam; prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam between 1945-1955 and president from 1951 until his death (September 2, 1969).
