Yván Gil: To Venezuelans who are in the United States, I invite you to return to your country

In the United States, there is currently a persecution against the Venezuelan people, which has forced the National Government to warn all our compatriots, through an alert, about how unsafe it is to travel and live there, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil.

“Venezuela has taken a firm stance in the face of the discriminatory and persecution diplomacy of the United States towards Venezuelan migrants, promoted by the arrogant Venezuelan extreme right, who use their North American allies to attack migrants,” said the foreign minister during the Cable to Earth program, led by the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.

Likewise, he argued that this Government of the United States, “has no scruples, Marco Rubio hates Venezuelans and hates them because his greatest frustration is that they have not been able to overthrow the Bolivarian Revolution, nor the free and sovereign people that we have. To the Venezuelans who are there, I invite them to return to their country, where they are treated very badly, it is a total risk for everyone and we saw that with the treatment of the mother of little Maikelys Espinoza, a cruel treatment”.

In addition, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), it condemned the new ruling of the United States Supreme Court, allowing Donald Trump to revoke the protection program for more than 500 thousand migrants in that country. “We have said that any persecution is condemnable, enough of so much persecution against our compatriots, that's enough,” he said.

He pointed out that the Trump administration violates even its own laws, its own protocols, “and now more how the persecution against Venezuelans has been seen, because they are seen as an enemy, they don't want them', because they are Bolivarians, they reject them because they have not been able to overthrow the Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro, and that's how they attack women, children, separate families, which is the most serious thing, they separate them by orders of Marco Rubio, this is an operation to avenge a people that has stood up to say: here there is our sovereignty, independence”.

On the other hand, in the same space, Gil assured that Venezuela's accession to the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) is due to the fact that it focuses on the defense of the self-determination of peoples and peace diplomacy in the resolution of conflicts.

In the same way, he welcomed China's initiative in creating the International Mediation Organization, an intergovernmental body made up of more than 40 countries, which includes Venezuela as a founding member. This organization, based on mutual benefit, seeks to rescue the values of the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of the International Court of Justice.
