198 new resident doctors will strengthen the Public Health System in Aragua

The state of Aragua welcomed 198 doctors who will begin their postgraduate programs in various medical specialties within the National Public Health System (SPNS).

According to a press release, the new residents will be distributed to important health care centers in the region. A group will be integrated into the Dr. José Rangel Hospital in Villa de Cura and the Aragua Bolivarian Cardiological Teaching Center (Cedocabar).

Meanwhile, 96 doctors will arrive at the Maracay Central Hospital, from the University of Carabobo (UC), the University of Health Sciences “Hugo Chávez Frías” and RAPCCE.

The entity's Single Health Authority, Dr. Yosmary Lombano, reported that these 198 doctors, who will undertake their training in crucial specialties such as anesthesiology and resuscitation, general surgery, orthopedic and traumatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial oral surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, hematology, infectious diseases, physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, pediatrics and urology.
