Nearly 200 families from the Atures, Autana municipalities and the town of El Burro, in the state of Amazonas, are affected by the flooding of the Orinoco River, said the governor of that entity, Miguel Rodríguez.

Through a post on its Instagram account, the regional authority indicated that the river has risen to 52.83 meters above sea level MSNM, which means 83 cm above the flood level, which is 52 meters above the flood level of 52 meters above sea level.

“We continue to serve people in all sectors, and we are very aware of the passage of Chalana, since its interruption would leave us isolated by the Apure state,” he said.

In this regard, he called on the population to be alert to the authorities' recommendations and “not to wait until the last minute to be better protected”.
