Apure: 365 indigenous families affected by rains are treated during a social day

A total of 365 people affected by the recent rains in Apure were treated during a medical-care day at the facilities of the Indio Alegre Agroecological Training and Production Center.


The Ministry of Popular Power for Indigenous Peoples explained that during the day, the Cuiva and Pumé indigenous families from the affected urban sectors were favored, with consultations in general medicine, pediatrics, immunization and pharmacy.

In addition, immunization doses were applied, such as Pentavalent, Polio, antiamaryllic, Toxoid, SRP, among other systems for the prevention of future diseases.

“This operation was accompanied by teams from institutions such as Occupational and Professional Training, Research and Development, the Indigenous Care and Guidance Service, the National Institute of Nutrition, among others belonging to the municipality,” Venezolana de Televisión reported.
