Aragua received national fire at the 2026 Municipal National Sports Games

In Plaza Bolívar in Maracay, the state of Aragua received the national fire of the III National Municipal Sports Games 2025.

The ceremony marks the second stop on the national torch tour, which was received from the state of Carabobo and continues its journey to ignite the flame of competition and brotherhood across the country.

Governor Joana Sánchez highlighted the impressive basic process that has already taken place in the entity. “Today we are not just lighting a torch; we are igniting the hope and determination of thousands of Aragüeans. In Aragua, we have fully completed the first phases, demonstrating a powerful community organization and an immense sporting talent,” he said,

In Aragua, the state phase involved the participation of 18 municipalities, comprising 768 Community Councils and 133 Community Circuits, with a total of 3,122 registered athletes (1,542 women and 1,580 men).
