Athletes from Sucre and Delta Amacuro shared gold in the fight at the National Community Games

The athletes from the states of Sucre and Delta Amacuro won the gold in freestyle wrestling at the 2025 Municipal National Sports Games when each entity was awarded two medals of that metal in the matches played at the Paramillo Sports Complex in San Cristóbal, Táchira.

The first medal for the Sucrense fight was won by César Gutiérrez (-33 kg) after beating Joshar Pérez from Larense. The bronze in the category went to Ramón Vivas (Barinas) and Aron Gómez (Falcón), the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports reported in a press release.

Samuel Medina (-45 kg) took the second gold for Sucre by defeating Cristian Luque from Barinas in the final, while Armando Reyes and Adonys Villalobo added bronze medals for Delta Amacuro and Carabobo, respectively.

In the -27 kg category, the podium was made up of Santiago Suárez from Trujillo with the gold medal, Yehimer Arrieta (Yaracuy) won silver, while the deltano Xavier León and the Barinese Vicle Delgado won bronze.

This day also included the men's -39 kilograms, where the deltan Juan Medina won the gold medal, Elier Aguilar (Lara) came second, while Ismael Rivas (Barinas) and Ángelo Cumana (Anzoátegui) took bronze.

In turn, in the +50 kg Delta Amacuro once again climbed to the top of the podium with Alberto Hernández, who beat Carlos Mayorca in the final, and the bronze was shared by Néstor Vásquez (Carabobo) and Marlon Vides (Zulia).
