This Wednesday, from the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, the Productive Conglomerate S.A., an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Industries and National Production, signed an Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement with the Women's Development Bank.
In this regard, Ibrahim Infante, president of the Productive Conglomerate, explained that the objective of this agreement is to promote the production of Venezuelan women starting from vertex 3 of the Great Venezuelan Women's Mission.
“This coincides with the objectives of the Women's Bank, as well as the Productive Conglomerate, in the development and emancipation of Venezuelan women in all processes so that they are involved, not only in economic development, but also in the political and social spheres to achieve programs and projects based on a gender concept,” said Infante.
For her part, Alix Forero, Deputy Minister for Productive Development, indicated that this is a strategic alliance between both institutions, which seeks to provide comprehensive care to all women who are linked to the productive process.
“For example, in the case of the textile conglomerate, 90% of those linked to the program are women, with an emphasis on differentiated attention to the women's sector to strengthen production,” Forero stressed.
The event was attended by textile entrepreneurs, spokespersons for the Tramuco Cooperative and the Women's Front of the Productive Conglomerate, who expressed their satisfaction with the signing of this agreement.
Patricia Díaz, a worker at the Productive Conglomerate, stressed that this agreement addresses the need to develop plans, programs and projects that will impact, “not only the daily life of work, but also the common life of these productive centers to benefit, not only the workers who belong to the conglomerate, but also the other sectoral conglomerates that are helping to constitute themselves.”
In addition, Roxana Odreman, spokesperson for the Tramuco Cooperative, also highlighted the importance of the event.
“We were invited to participate in some sectoral tables to ensure that our interests are represented in that decision-making instance and henceforth our needs are met, as part of a national network of production companies,” added Odreman.
Finally, the authorities of Conglomerado Productivo and BanMujer announced that in the coming weeks, inter-institutional working tables will be set up to advance the planning of joint plans and programs.
