The Bolivarian Government, through local authorities, carried out a new fumigation and abatement plan, with the objective of reducing the incidence of dengue fever in Yaracauy.
The activity included the work of the competent national, regional institutions and the organized people, who carried out several intensive days of environmental sanitation and fumigation in different communities of the jurisdiction.
The actions intensified with the arrival of the rainy season, so they seek to protect the health of the inhabitants and reduce the occurrence of cases of dengue through a preventive approach and public awareness, which is why talks are also being held in the area, according to the local press.
The plan began in the most vulnerable sectors of Chivacoa, where 335 homes in the community were fumigated to advance to the rest of the state. In the same sense, larvicides (abatement) are applied to tanks, drinking straws and other water storage containers to prevent the development of larvae.
