Cabello on Popular Consultation: It's a marker of where the Bolivarian Revolution is going

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described this Monday as “historic” the first National Popular Consultation 2025, held this Sunday for the People to select the projects of their communities to be executed by the Bolivarian Government.

“Yesterday was historic. Our people go out to vote in an organized way, they believe in the power they have. That's extraordinary! It is a marker of where the Bolivarian Revolution is going. And that I am sure that on April 27 it will be demonstrated,” Cabello said during the weekly press conference of the red awning, from Carabobo state.

He noted that, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic, regional and legislative elections will be held on April 27, despite the denial of sectors of the extreme right, whom he described as “smoke sellers”.

“They are entangled (the extremist opposition). The truth is that it came to them on April 27 and they haven't even agreed or met. They don't talk. We are united. Today the party is establishing the mechanisms for the Congress. The Congress starts, it makes the decisions and we move forward with that,” he stressed.

In this regard, Cabello announced that the PSUV will present candidates “in all the municipalities of this country, in all of them. We will be presenting in all the governorates and we will have the complete proposal for the 277 principal and 277 alternates of the National Assembly, which is the right thing to do.”
