The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that Venezuela is still in the spotlight because the natural resources that this country has “are not available to anyone”.

During the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón pointed out that “no one has the natural resources that Venezuela has and that is the only reason why they besiege it, there is no other reason.”

“They already started with their narrative and now what they're talking about is regime change, they returned from the old tale of the dictatorship to democracy,” he emphasized.

He indicated that imperialism has found some vendors in this country who tell him: “invade Venezuela, kill everyone you have to kill”, and “I guarantee that I will give you natural resources”, that is the offer made by that sector of the opposition.

Cabello Rondón explained that all these actions are accompanied by a narrative, one day they run their batteries against someone, the next day against another and then another. In that regard, he recalled the campaign against the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino, then they went against the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez and against the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, and this week they launched “a special, aligned campaign” against President Nicolás Maduro.

“They want them to be given away through violence what they couldn't get through the votes, that's not how it is, that's why our people are rebellious, up against those things that they want to impose on them and they know it,” he added.

Cabello stressed that here in Venezuela an opposition that has a “democratic character” is rising up, which has participated in the last elections.

“There is a government here, a President who is working every day on the street and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela is joining even more strongly in these tasks, that's what we are doing,” he reiterated.
