Diosdado Cabello, general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), said that behind the weapons and paramilitaries from Trinidad and Tobago are drug trafficking and fascist groups in Venezuelan politics.

“Some of the weapons come from there, one of the detainees is a Trinidadian, and you don't say what intentions they came with because that's part of the investigation and what is behind it? Narcoparamilitarism and opposition politics in Venezuela that has no scruples and is capable of allying with anyone in order to return to governing in Venezuela,” he said.

He reiterated that an operation carried out in the east of the country yesterday confiscated another batch of weapons, some of them from Trinidad, and also drew attention to an investigation by the La Tabla portal, which reports that 100,000 cartridges were lost in two military units in Trinidad and no one knows where they are.

“Weapons and ammunition are disappearing in Trinidad and Tobago and when we say that this is happening, then they feel offended,” Cabello said during Con El Mazo Dando's 530 broadcast.
