The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that drug trafficking will continue to be combated and national sovereignty defended.

“We will continue to work. It is assumed that, according to what is produced in the United States, that they are like 105 tons of drugs that would transit, if we left them, freely through Venezuela. We have already taken 60 from it and we will continue to move forward,” Cabello said during a press conference.

He stressed that the Bolivarian Revolution maintains Venezuela as a territory that is not used for drugs.” Here we are not going to let it go, here we are fighting it. It is our Bolivarian National Armed Forces, our police forces and our people determined to continue fighting the scourge of drugs.”

He stressed that the drugs seized recently, the boat left the Neimalu'u sector through the upper Guajira of Colombia. “It's Iván Duque's favorite area,” he emphasized.
