The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, after the conclusion of the XXVI Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), praised the desire of Latin America and the Caribbean to consolidate peace in the region, beyond the the absence of an armed conflict.
From News York, United States,
where the 80th session of the General Assembly
of the United Nations (UN) is taking place, Gil explained that the countries that make up the Alliance do not want war, “we want
peace, but a peace that is not only the absence of armed conflict, but we want
peace with social justice”.
He assured that the Alliance
represents the “vanguard of building peace and social justice (...)
when multilateralism has failed to solve the problems of humanity
, the A LBA makes its contribution and demonstrates
that it is a revolutionary and important creation and that it is our region that
is at the forefront of transformation processes”.
