Chancellor Gil visited Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino in Colombia, the Liberator's last home

The Venezuelan delegation that is in Colombia,
within the framework of the IV Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States
(CELAC) and the European Union (EU), visited Quinta de San Pedro
Alejandrino, in Santa Marta, the last home of the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
“It is a true honor to have paid homage to the Liberator
Simon Bolivar with a floral offering at Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, in
Santa Marta, Colombia, where Bolívar spent his last days until his
death on December 17, 1830,” Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who heads the country's representation, said on his social networks.
In his message, the Venezuelan diplomat stressed that “this
emotional visit reminds us of the deep historical and brotherhood ties that
unite the peoples of Colombia and Venezuela.”
During this day, Foreign Minister Gil met with his
counterpart from New Granada, Rosa Villavicencio. In addition, he greeted the Colombian vice-president,
Francia Márquez; as well as the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, and
the foreign minister of Haiti, Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste.
