Chancellor Lavrov reports that Russia would be willing to support nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States

This Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that his country is willing to facilitate the negotiation process between the United States and Iran to reach agreements on the Iranian nuclear program.

As reported by the Fuser News website, Lavrov stressed that his country would take into account the legitimate interests of Tehran. “We welcome the commitment, as far as we know, to achieve objective and mutually acceptable agreements,” he emphasized after a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Abás Aragchi.”

Lavrov added that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Iranian Foreign Minister held substantive talks.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that today the views of Russia and Iran on world events are closer than ever, while the meeting with the Russian ruler was “significant and very good”.
