The foreign minister, Yván Gil, expressed, through his Telegram channel, his condolences for the death of Raimundo Kabchi, whom he described as a “man of noble ideals and a fervent defender of the Palestinian cause, as well as of the Arab peoples”.
On his Telegram channel, he noted that his “departure leaves a gap in the field of journalism, academia and international analysis, fields in which he excelled for decades in Venezuela, his adopted home.”
“Today I say goodbye to a friend and a key figure in the Bolivarian Revolution, who accompanied Commander Chávez as an advisor and translator on Middle Eastern issues, in addition to contributing significantly to the relaunch of OPEC,” he said and sent his condolences to his friends and family.
