On September 2, 2010, the Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, stressed that it would be a disgrace for the opposition to come to the government again, since they would re-privatize everything and commit the country to imperialism as in the Fourth Republic.
“They didn't rule here, as they wouldn't rule if they arrived again, to the disgrace of our country and our boys and girls, to the government that will never return, but I'm talking about a hypothesis, they don't rule themselves,” said the Commander about the opposition from La Cañada de Urdaneta in the state of Zulia.
For this reason, he emphasized that the real leaders of the opposition were the Yankee empire and to whom they would be willing to give away the country's wealth. At the same time, I remembered that this was the case during the Fourth Republic in Venezuela.
“The two parties that dominated there were carrying out orders in Congress; you have to eliminate or change the Organic Law of the Armed Forces because we don't like this or this (...), they modified the Organic Law of the Armed Forces, we don't like the Labor Law and they modified it, we don't like that the State owns the telephone company, and they privatized it; and they have to privatize PDVSA and they started to privatize it,” he said.
