Children from Falcón participate in a discussion about Afro-Venezuelan drums

In Coro, Falcón state, a discussion was held on Afro-Venezuelan drums, aimed at boys and girls, where the cultural promoter Freddy Peña explained about the cultural value of this musical instrument, as part of the vacation plans being developed in the country, information that was provided by the team of the entity's Cultural Institute (INCUDEF), through its social networks.
The event, which took place at the Casa del Sol, aimed to bring young people closer to the rich Afro-Venezuelan musical tradition, to promote appreciation and knowledge of the nation's cultural roots.
That is why, during the activity, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the history and importance of drums in traditional Venezuelan music, as well as to experiment with different rhythms and percussion techniques.
The discussion on Afro-Venezuelan drums organized by the Red Art Foundation, with the support of Percusión F.P and the INCUDEF, was enthusiastically received by the boys and girls, who showed a great interest in learning more about this beautiful musical tradition. For the organizers, this initiative demonstrates the value of music as a tool for integration, diversity and personal enrichment.
