Venezuela's main primary aluminum reducer recently received ISO 9001:2015 Certification, granted by the International Organization for Standardization, which gives added value to the metal produced by CVG Venalum.
In line with the strategic lines of modernization of methods and techniques for the production of national wealth, contemplated in the Organic Law of the Plan for the Homeland of the 7 Great Transformations, promoted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the schedule of internal and external audits of the Quality Management System was met.
The president of this reduction company, Ángel González, received ISO 9001:2015 and IQNET certifications from Omar Bautista, president of Fondonorma, on behalf of the entire Venezuelan workforce. “This is the result of teamwork; each worker made a great contribution. At CVG Venalum we are going for more,” he said.
The ceremony included the signing of the certification contract and the delivery of the ISO flag and banner, with the presence of Fondonorma authorities and the plant's management team. Bautista highlighted that ISO 9001:2015 shows that quality is an essential value and reaffirms the commitment to the country's sustainable development.
The verification of compliance with the requirements established by the ISO 9001:2015 Standard in relation to leadership, performance and improvement processes, operations and support within the industry, all of them linked to the manufacture of aluminum ingots for remelting, began last year 2024. However, CVG Venalum's certification culture dates back to 1988, when it achieved two of the Norven brand.
