During the program Without a Trick or Tomorrow, the deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Tania Díaz highlighted the decision of the Vatican to canonize the blessed Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles, a historic event for the Venezuelan Catholic parishioners for October 19 of this year.
“Damn, it was done! How beautiful. Thanks to Pope Francis, to the efforts of President Nicolás Maduro, to the Catholic parishioners and to the Church that worked tirelessly to make this possible,” said Díaz, highlighting the collective effort behind this achievement.
The deputy also mentioned the role of the religious community and of key figures in the process, such as the work of Father Numa Molina.
It should be noted that both blesseds will be registered in the register of saints, becoming the first Venezuelans to achieve this recognition. The ceremony will take place in St. Peter's Basilica, in Vatican City, and will be presided over by Pope Leo XIV.
