DGPI held awareness-raising days to prevent different crimes

Members of the General Directorate of International Police (DGPI) held a series of information and educational days in different parts of the country, with the objective of raising public awareness of crimes with a high social impact, such as human trafficking and trafficking, child abuse and fraudulent purchases on digital platforms.

According to information issued by the Ministry of Popular Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), among the places addressed, the Mariscal Sucre Educational Unit of El Junquito stands out, where key information was provided on human trafficking and trafficking.

While in the state of Sucre at Carúpano Airport, an induction and prevention activity was carried out on child abuse.

Specifically, brochures were distributed, fundamental aspects such as the types of abuse, the identification of victims, prevention methods and reporting channels were explained.

Finally, in Táchira, the DGPI office organized a campaign at the “Francisco García de Hevia” National Airport, to warn about the dangers of fraudulent purchases on digital platforms and explain how cybercriminals use misleading offers to commit crimes such as kidnappings, robberies and scams.
