Diosdado Cabello is appointed to lead the new General Secretariat of the PSUV

The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, announced the creation of the General Secretariat of this political organization for which Diosdado Cabello Rondón was appointed by the plenary session.

“I propose to this plenary session the creation of the General Secretariat and let us appoint Diosdado Cabello as head of the national Secretary General of the PSUV,” he said, having been unanimously approved by the more than 3,000 delegates of the revolutionary tent.

He specified that for the establishment of this new instance, the modifications will be carried out within the statutes of the PSUV in compliance with this decision of the plenary of the V Congress of the party founded by Commander Chávez and the IV Congress of the JPSUV.
