Diosdado Cabello: On 27J there will be an election and on 28J there will be a celebration!

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed the commitment of revolutionaries to the electoral victory on July 27.

“Now we are going to elections that will allow us to decide 335 mayors and 2,471 municipal councilors (...) On the 27th there will be an election and on the 28th there will be a celebration,” said Cabello, during a press conference held by the National Directorate of the PSUV, while stressing that the People will commemorate four great victories: the electoral triumph, the anniversary of the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro, the birthday of Commander Hugo Chávez and, finally, the victory of peace.

He also stressed that the revolutionary tent is ready to participate in the next elections.
“This has been working on for a long time. The security agencies are doing their job, the organized people are moving forward. At Cojedes, for example, we take action and make changes. We're practically ready. All that is missing is the registration, then the campaign, then the election and, finally, the victory on July 27,” he said.

He urged militants to focus on their revolutionary work.

“Let's not worry about opposition candidates, that's their problem. Let's worry about doing the work they entrust us with, wherever it is. To be a revolutionary you don't need to be a mayor, governor, deputy or minister. Being a revolutionary is cultivated with study and a lot of conscience, so as not to fall into temptations,” he stressed.
