The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public
Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed that the aggression of the
United States (USA) in the Caribbean Sea is not only against Venezuela, but against the region's fishermen.
“Caribbean fishermen are
being sentenced to death, whoever they (the United States) want, they're going to do whatever they want and then the story comes,” he said during a press conference.
He questioned those who speak of “tension”,
when what the United States does is a “siege against a People, an aggression against a
People; we have no tension with anyone (...) they use brute force
against a People in a disproportionate and illegal way”.
He also pointed out that this is why the United States does not believe
the versions they have given about their operations in the Caribbean. “
We are sure that they are not true, but for many people in the United States they are not credible
and there are doubts,” he said, assuring that from a distance and without carrying out the
corresponding operations, it is not possible to know what a rock is wearing.
On the other hand, faced with the pseudo-analyses made by sectors of the extreme right about Venezuela's actions in the face of these operations, he said: “Calm and sanity, nerves of steel, organization and popular mobilization, they will not remove us from our agenda; we are preparing for whatever comes, if it doesn't come very well (...) but here we prepare for everything, if not necessary, thank God, but the escalation does not depend on us, it has never depended on us”.
