The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, insisted that we must return to the purity of children.

“You can't leave raising children to a computer, because those who design these programs have their plan and that is to make people think less every day,” said Cabello Rondón, during the broadcast of the program Sin Truco Ni Maña, which is broadcast on Radio Nacional de Venezuela.

He also asserted that these programs are designed to block thinking capacity.

Cabello Rondón called on parents to reflect, that “if you are going to bring a child into the world, it is to care for him in his purest condition, which is that of a child”.

He emphasized that it is a mistake to give a child a phone because he cried or to keep him calm. “That child is going to see what comes out of him,” he added.

Cabello recalled that before the television, in the 80s and 90s, that device replaced parents here in Venezuela on many occasions.

For her part, the deputy Tania Díaz, said that parents cannot let their children be raised by networks, or what they see through phones.

In that sense, he argued that large industries create slaves and consumers. “We must raise people who are aware of truth, citizens,” he added.

Congresswoman Díaz, for her part, called on families to take care of children, to control, to monitor what their children see. “They can't trust that they play YouTube Kids and that they're only going to watch comedies, because in those comedies there are messages that promote insane competition, bullying, and other content not suitable for children.”
