During 2024, the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) apprehended 19,434 people involved in criminal activities, according to the director of the security agency, Douglas Rico .
According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, Rico explained that they also recovered 2,004 firearms, 5,172 vehicles and 5,576 telephones, as well as seized 12,783 ammunition.
In addition, he added that these data mean a reduction in the mortality rate to 4.1 people who died per 100,000 inhabitants.
