Executive Vice President reported that there have been 10 earthquakes and 21 aftershocks with no victims to regret

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in the early morning of this Thursday, provided a balance of the seismic activity recorded in the country during the last seven hours of Wednesday, through a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

Rodríguez reported that “in the last seven hours, earthquakes of strong and moderate intensity have occurred, according to reports from FUNVISIS (Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research).”

“A western tectonic fault is active and the earthquakes have oscillated between 6.3 and 4.0 in magnitude,” he explained.

He also indicated that “in total we have had 21 aftershocks and 10 earthquakes,” so the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, has deployed the National Public Security System and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), has contacted all the country's governors and mayors.

In addition, the executive vice president announced that there have been no victims so far.
