Executive Vice President: They invested more than one billion dollars to overthrow the Bolivarian Government

In her speech to install the World Congress against Fascism, Neofascism and other similar expressions, this Tuesday the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, pointed out that imperialism invested more than one billion dollars to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro, after the elections of last July 28.

From the La Carlota convention center, in Caracas, Rodríguez recalled “fascism is not a new phenomenon, the Peoples of South America also experienced it in the dictatorships, we have known it, we have suffered it and we know that what the Venezuelan people have given has really been, and I say this as a Venezuelan woman too, of admiration because we have had to face coups d'etat, assassination attempts, attempts at imperial invasions, economic wars, economic blockades and more recently” the attacks before, during and after the last election day.

“The plan was already established, here we talked about what was going to happen, we said that they were going to resist recognizing the victory of the Venezuelan people who ratified and ratified President Nicolás Maduro as we said at the time because by ratifying President Maduro we were actually consolidating popular democracy. We are consolidating an organized People, a People directing their destinies,” he said.

He recalled that the extreme right placed at its service the power of the dictatorship of algorithms on social networks. “They financed more than 1 billion dollars, it is estimated that it was what they invested to overthrow the Bolivarian Government of the Bolivarian Revolution (...) this operation was directed from the United States and the CIA continues to direct the onslaught, aggression and threats against Venezuela,” he warned.
