FILVEN 2025 Monagas opened its doors in Maturín

The twentieth edition of the International Book Fair chapter Monagas was inaugurated this Thursday, January 30 in the city of Maturín, under the motto “Reading Transforms”.

With a colorful environment full of books, the governor of the state of Monagas, Ernesto Luna and other personalities cut the tricolor ribbon to welcome the different publishing houses and thus welcome FILVEN 2025.

The authorities took a tour of the 23 publishers and institutions and an equal number of regional and national exhibitors, culminating in the ceremonial ceremony for the naming of the book “Colonel Leonardo Infante Álvarez”, by the historian Peñalver, who won the National History Award in 2018.

In addition, the national writer Nereyda Ferrer, from the state of Falcón, was present, who accompanied the activity by presenting the collection “Historical Insurgencies Afro Epistemologies Cimarronas” by the publisher El Perro y La Rana and the presentation of the book “Hugo Chávez: Convocante de la Patria Liberada”, Iremu Femsur editions.
