A total of five young Venezuelan referees participated in the Referee Development Program organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), from November 7 to 10 in Luque, Paraguay.

Olisev Salcedo, referee; Adrián Valecillos, referee; Mairelys Castillo, assistant referee; William Cisnero, assistant referee and Paúl Riera, assistant referee, were the Venezuelan participants in the training program, according to a press release from the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF).

The initiative, of a theoretical and practical nature, was aimed at referees who are not part of the international FIFA list, with the purpose of strengthening their technical, physical and tactical knowledge, as well as promoting generational replacement within South American refereeing.

During the days, the participants carried out theoretical updating sessions, dynamic game simulation and diagnostic evaluations of physical condition, under the guidance of instructors from the CONMEBOL Referee Committee.

The participation of these young Venezuelans confirms the commitment of the National Commission of Referees of the FVF to the development and projection of new generations within the country's arbitration system.
