Foreign Minister Yván Gil highlighted international support and recognition for President Maduro

This Wednesday, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, from the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), reported on a meeting that will take place next Friday, September 26, of a Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter that represents the leadership of Venezuela and the President of the Republic Nicolás Ripe.

Speaking to Telesur, Gil stressed that “It is a sign of President Nicolás Maduro and the respect he has in the international community for the politics of Venezuela, a firm sovereign and immovable one, truly a policy consistent with the principles of international law.”

“The Organization of Non-Aligned Countries, which number 120 countries, issued a statement in favor of promoting Peace Zones in the Caribbean within the framework of the military deployment that exists in the Illegal Caribbean by the United States (USA),” he said.

He also stressed that Venezuela is not alone “because Venezuela is assisted by international law, we feel great international support.”
