Foreign Minister Yván Gil led a discussion on territorial controversy in Guiana Essequiba

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that this Wednesday, June 17, a Conversation on the Territorial Controversy surrounding Guiana Essequiba took place, “in which distinguished members of the diplomatic and legal mission that has led the historic defense of Venezuelan sovereignty over this region participated.”

In his account on the social network Telegram, he stated that “during the event, we reviewed the exhibitions presented in The Hague that addressed the topic, inherited from the dark colonial legacy”.

“In addition, the Geneva Agreement of 1966 was reaffirmed as the only valid instrument for finding a mutually acceptable solution for the parties and resolving this dispute,” he said.
