Fuego Patrio of the National Student Sports Games 2025 arrived in the border area of Sucre and Anzoátegui

The National Fire of the XIX National Student Sports Games 2025 arrived in the area bordering Sucre with the La Cumbre sector of the state of Anzoátegui.

This is the seventh stop for the national fire on its journey through the country's 24 states.

The athletes from Sucrense and the president of the Sucre Sports Institute, Jesús Márquez, handed over the national fire to the Secretary General of Government, Daniel Atay, representing Governor Luis Marcano, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The activity was also attended by the president of the Institute of Sports and Physical Activity, Carlos Cornejo, and the single authority for education, Adriana Sandonato.

“What we are doing today is planting seeds to reap great triumphs and glories for Venezuelan sports. We will continue to accompany these girls, boys and young people who represent sport and emotion in the state of Anzoátegui,” said Atay.

In turn, he thanked the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, for uniting the entire country and training Venezuelan youth through sporting passion.

The Anzoatigua delegation will be present at the National Student Sports Games with 216 athletes and parathletes in 18 sports disciplines.

This edition of the National Student Sports Games will be held from August 1 to 16 between the states of Lara, Yaracuy and Falcón.

The national fire will begin its journey to Punta de Mata, Plazoleta Virgen del Valle in the Ezequiel Zamora municipality of the Monagas state where it will rest until it continues its journey.
