Venezuelan Gleyber Torres shot his 154th career home run in
Major League Baseball (MLB), to break his tie with Pablo Sandoval and take the
22nd all-time position among Venezuelan representatives in the Majors.
Torres took her out of the park in the third inning, through left field, solo against left-handed pitcher Joey Cantillo, in the Detroit Tigers' 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians .
The Venezuelan left the match 5-1 with two runs scored and one pushed.
In the current season, Torres left his offensive line for the season
at .254/.361/.755 with 125 hits, 16 home runs, 21 doubles, 73 RBIs and 77 scored.
Now Torres will have as his next objective
to reach Álex González, who is in 21st place among compatriots with 157 homers
in his career in the Big Tent.
