The governor of the Bolivarian state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, announced the increase in the Peace Quadrants along the Altos Mirandinos axis from 43 to 56.
During the act of adapting the Peace Quadrants of the Altos Mirandinos, Serrano indicated that “this action is part of a strategic effort to consolidate peace and tranquility in the entity, reversing a past marked by political and criminal violence.”
The governor emphasized that the Peace Quadrants are being equipped with vehicles and motorcycles to ensure mobilization and provide immediate response.
He also recalled that Miranda state was the epicenter of destabilization in previous years.
“Not only did citizen violence take shape here, but also political violence... This is where you saw in 2013, when they lost the election to our president Nicolás Maduro, who called for venting anger and anger, which led to death,” he emphasized.
The governor pointed out that the planning of the political conspiracy sought to turn the state's territories into a “haven for criminal gangs,” creating spaces inaccessible to police forces.
“That has changed and is a product of the policy that has been implemented since the Revolutionary Government, which has allowed us to now have the peace conquered,” he said.
He highlighted the reduction in murders in Miranda state, which went from 70 weekly homicides to only 2. In this regard, he argued that the goal of the Regional Government is to achieve the total eradication of homicide, since “we aim to achieve weeks with zero murders.”
