Grecia Colmenares: Venezuelan youth began a process of organizing and executing projects

The General Secretary of Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Grecia Colmenares, assured that young people today assume as their main flag the territorial struggle, the defense of space for territory, active participation in the Communes.

During the communal youth march in Caracas, Colmenares pointed out that when we talk about the territorial struggle, “we talk about the defense of peace, the defense of sovereignty, the defense of every corner of our sacred territory.”

He stressed that Venezuelan young people began a process of organizing and executing community projects, “which allows us to continue strengthening precisely what youth Popular Power is.

“Young people today who are in high school, at the university, in the workplace, have decided to organize themselves in each of the communes and community circuits,” he said.

Colmenares specified that there is an organized vanguard of more than 53,000 young people, who have direct responsibilities in their territory, who were the essential protagonists of the last Popular Consultation and who today are the ones who carry out each of the projects with their own hands, with their voluntary work.

He also added that young people are committed to the next Popular Consultation to be held on November 23. “We have found in the Popular Consultation mechanism a tool to fulfill the dreams of youth and of all the people of Venezuela,” he said.
