The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, assured that “a country exists thanks to its working class.”
This was stated in a new meeting with the country's working class where he announced the result of the constituentist process of the working class.
“A total of 22,110 meetings were held to choose from in a qualitative debate on topics with the proposals of the ideas of millions of workers to 66,330 basic delegates and delegates from the workplace, both principal and alternate, who for me are the main ones as of today,” he said.
The Head of State exalted that “never ever in the labor and trade union movement in Venezuela has there been a more democratic, participatory process, with greater worker power, its main power being the conscience and passionate love for the Venezuelan homeland that the working class has on its skin today.”
The Head of State added “I am simply an ordinary man and today I had to lead the charge as workers' president and commander-in-chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB)”.
“To make the oligarchy burn, I will say that I am not and never in this life do I want to be a tycoon or billionaire, I am a working-class man,” he said.
