The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the XII Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) held the meeting, which he considers to be a tool for monitoring.
In this regard, the president indicated that this summit is being held “to review in a dynamic and assertive way to make decisions on various issues that have to do with the development of the plan approved on December 14 when the 20th anniversary of ALBA was celebrated.”
He also assured that this meeting should make it possible to “demonstrate the capacity of ALBA, to be at the forefront of the struggles for sovereignty, dignity, equality and the right to happiness and peace of our peoples.
“We are marked by historic times and we have a very current agenda, if ALBA can be said anything today, it is that we have managed to update the agenda and we are obliged that the Alba agenda allows us to energize the responses and solutions of our peoples,” he said.
