Head of State: Anti-fascist congresses have demonstrated the immense support we have

In the opinion of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, the anti-fascist congresses have demonstrated the immense support we have in all global, anti-colonialist, anti-fascist, progressive, left-wing, revolutionary movements and in all humanist movements.

“Here in Venezuela, people of immense civilizational diversity have come together, from all continents, from all countries, who are looking for, what? An alternative, an alternative so that the unipolar world does not return, so that hegemonism ends, and also telling the owners, private companies, owners of social networks, portals and major media in the world, there is another possible world,” he said in an interview with Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet.

In this regard, he added that “the organs of justice in Venezuela, the Public Ministry, the Judicial System, have carried out an in-depth, professional investigation, in accordance with domestic law, even adjusted to international standards, to establish those responsible for the acts of violence, for the hate crimes that were committed. All the people killed in the violent events of the fascist outbreak of July 29 and 30, were all victims of these groups called Los Comanditos, of these groups of paid criminals, of these groups that took to the streets to burn, to break, because they intended, once again, this is not the first time, they intended, with this guarimba of this version in 2024, to cause a commotion of such magnitude as to justify the gringos and their allies on the right to try to use military force in Venezuela, and turn the country into an area of combat, of conflict. But there is strength, there is conscience, there is capacity, and in 48 hours peace was constitutionally restored.”

The Head of State stressed that “we are on the path of peace and I can assure you that this man who is here, Nicolás Maduro Moros, re-elected president, is the greatest guarantee, together with our people, of peace, stability and independence of Venezuela.”

He specified that the anti-fascist congresses will continue in a few days, from January 7 to 12, an immense Anti-Fascist World Youth Congress will be held. And the second chapter of the Anti-Fascist Congress of Social and Political Movements will take place. So we are waiting for the arrival, between July 7 and 12, of more than 2,000 leaders of social and political movements from all continents, who come with our country to celebrate the victories of anti-fascism. “In Venezuela, the future of the fight against that macabre model that is trying to re-emerge, which is fascism, is being decided,” he said.
