Head of State celebrates announcement of the date of canonization of Venezuelan blesseds

President Nicolás Maduro, during his participation in the 7T Workshop for Transformative Action with governors, governors, ministers and ministers, celebrated the Vatican's announcement of the canonization of two blesseds born in Venezuela.

“We are happy that today, June 13, 2025, Pope Leo XIV announced the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles Cisneros. October 19 is a blessed day for Venezuela,” stressed the head of state.

He reiterated that Venezuela will prepare for that date on October 19, Justice has been done with José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles since they will be the first Venezuelans to achieve the title of Saint and Saint, officially graduating from the Vatican.

“Our Saint, the doctor of the poor,” said the president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
