Head of State grants Venezuelan nationality and Order José Antonio Abreu post-morten to singer Rubby Pérez

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, gave post-mortem Venezuelan nationality to the Dominican singer Rubby Pérez, together with the José Antonio Abreu Order in his only class, in recognition of his musical career and legacy, as well as brotherhood with the country.

The artist's daughter, Zulinka Pérez, received the document, the identity card with which he is certified as Venezuelan under the identity card under the number 37,174,014 and the medal.

Pérez thanked the Head of State for the country's recognition of his father, who on many occasions expressed his love for Venezuela. “You're going to love her (Venezuela) like they loved me, that's my second homeland,” he recalled

For his part, the President reaffirmed the feeling of Caribbean brotherhood and highlighted the strength of shared cultural identity.
