The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, referred to the corruption network that has been revealed at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) involving leaders of opposition extremism based in the North American nation and Europe.

“The news says that between 2017 and 2019 Juan Guaidó received a total of 507 million dollars directly from USAID, 260 million dollars were allocated for supposed humanitarian assistance that was never used for this purpose; 247 million were allocated for supposed development assistance and 200 million more from a fund they called development,” said the Head of State.

During his program Maduro Live de Repente, he specified that the documents they declassified indicate that Juan Guaidó received this money from the United States Government through USAID. “In total, more than 700 million have been granted to Guiadó, to which must be added what is managed in the company CITGO.

Regarding the Venezuelan company, he said that the amount stolen by the extremist right could amount to 5 billion dollars, which would have been stolen by criminals and fugitives from the Venezuelan justice system Leopoldo López, Juan Guaidó, Carlos Vecchio and Julio Borges, among others.
