Head of State: Our best shields against threats are union and joint adoption with results

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the XII Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Prime Ministers of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), emphasized the importance of joining efforts to face challenges.

In this regard, he specified that “our best shields in the face of the challenges of these times, our best shields against threats are sincere effective union and joint adoption with results”.

The president indicated that ALBA is the fundamental nucleus of the future union of Latin America and the Caribbean, so it must be strengthened, “expanding its diplomatic, political and action capacity and the capacity to demonstrate results. Union and integration are the salvation of Latin America and the Caribbean, not that everyone goes their own way.”

He explained that each country for its part will leave a legacy of new colonizers, “we will end up being prisoners of the colonizers of today and the recolonizers of tomorrow”, so he invited us to “work, produce and give results, that is the shield. Unity is the shield of our America,” he added.
