Head of State paid tribute to the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute to the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre, regarding his birth.
“230 years after his birth, we pay tribute to the “Father of Ayacucho, Redeemer of the Children of the Sun”, Antonio José de Sucre, the Grand Marshal and Liberator of South America,” wrote the head of state on his Telegram channel.
The president described Sucre as one of the “greatest soldiers and statesmen on the continent, with a brilliant strategic vision and genius as a negotiator and diplomat, the most loyal, faithful and continuing the liberating work of our Father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar”.
We uphold the oath and commitment we take to be like Sucre so that the Homeland continues to have freedom, independence, union, peace and sovereignty, he added.
