The Venezuelan Futsal team eliminated Spain and is entering the quarterfinals of the Uzbekistan 2024 Futsal World Cup.

At the Universal Sports Complex of Andiyán, the Venezuelan José Villalobos in the 14th minute and Víctor Carreño in the 39th minute were the stars after scoring and giving Venezuela its way to the quarterfinals in a World Cup for the first time in history.

Vinotinto Futsal reached the Round of 16 after being among the four best third in the group stage. While Spain ranked first in its group with two wins and a draw.

Venezuela joins Brazil and Ukraine, who also reached their way to the quarterfinals, after defeating Costa Rica and the Netherlands, respectively.

Those led by Robinson Romero will face Ukraine for their place in the semifinals, next Sunday 29th, at the Humo Arena in Tashkent starting at 20:00 (local time).
