Through the strengthening of trilateral cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, peace and global security are strategically built, as stated by the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi

Araghchi , during an exclusive interview with Russia Today (RT), explained that the union of the three nations reflects “the acceleration of a sealed partnership between the three nations, marked by Iran's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2023 and its inclusion in the BRICS block last year.”

He also explained that Iran, Russia and China have already had two rounds of trilateral talks focused on Tehran's nuclear program, with plans to expand the debates to broader geopolitical and economic issues.

The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his confidence that “Iran, China and Russia in a coordinated movement can take effective steps towards international peace”.

In this regard, he affirmed that the association goes beyond diplomacy. In March, the three countries held joint naval exercises off the Iranian coast, reinforcing military coordination.

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that “bilateral relations between Iran and Russia have never been so close and solid” as at the present time, citing a historic comprehensive strategic partnership agreement signed on January 17, 2025, during the visit of the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, to Moscow.
