European governments, the European Union, have renounced governing for their peoples, have refused to “block” the access roads to fascism that are social networks, said the Secretary of International Relations of the Spanish Communist Party, Manu Pineda.
“Social networks are a focus of hate speech, fear, anxiety, and in parallel hope because fascists have become their hope through hate speech,” Pineda highlighted during his participation in the World Congress against Fascism, Neofascism and other similar expressions taking place in Caracas.
In the same way, he criticized the fact that fascist discourse is being used, reproduced by some who consider themselves “progressive”. “I'm not talking about Chile, I'm talking about Europe where progressive countries use the navy to stop migrants in that mass grave that the Mediterranean has become,” he said.
He also highlighted how in recent times fascism is using all the mechanisms they can to try to move forward and seize power. “Venezuela has been a test laboratory where all the mechanisms are being tested, you have suffered,” he said.
In this regard, he drew attention to the need to combat fascism and not to intend to use his speeches to try to support left-wing governments.
