Minister of Tourism received a project for the Simplicio Rodríguez Tourist Walk in Juan Griego

Governor Marisel Velásquez and the mayor of the municipality Gaspar Marcano, Yul Armas, presented to the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, the project to build the Simplicio Rodríguez Tourist Walk, an initiative that will be implemented for the benefit of the island people in the city of Juan Griego.

In this regard, Gómez pointed out that the proposal consists of the rehabilitation of the entire coast of Juan Griego, a fully inclusive tourist project where there will be a boulevard with bike path and spaces for recreation, culture and entrepreneurship in different facets, which will guarantee employment for various island families, according to a note from the PSUV.

“We are receiving it to seek technical feasibility from the Ministry of Ecosocialism. Anything that is for the benefit, for the people, I am in order to accompany organizations to develop it,” he said.

He also specified that because Nueva Esparta is the epicenter of almost all international operations that arrive in Venezuela, projects are planned at the airport and others with the Special Economic Zone, especially in the Territorial Planning Plan, in a structured development of Margarita's potential for national and international tourism.

For her part, Governor Marisel Velásquez stressed that it is an honor to have the support of Minister Leticia Gómez, to develop a project as beautiful as the Simplicio Rodríguez tourist promenade, where national and international tourists can appreciate the sunset from that beautiful bay.

In the same way, Mayor Yul Armas thanked Governor Marisel Velásquez and Tourism Minister Leticia Gómez for their presence and support in the Marcano municipality, pointing out that the planned walk takes into account vegetation, people with disabilities, entrepreneurs and tourism. “There is no doubt that it will be an important attraction, not only for tourism growth, but also for the social, economic and financial growth of the Marcano municipality and will generate investments, taxes and a series of positive proposals,” he stressed.
