Minister Padrino López: The military exercise “Costa Independence Defense 200" will continue this Saturday

The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, reported that this Saturday, October 25, the defensive military exercise will be completed: “Costa Independence Defense 200".

He stressed that “tomorrow (this Saturday) we are going to complete the task and pending all your instructions to continue to unite the military and popular power of the nation.”

The announcement was made by Padrino López in the El Gran Topo Agroecological Tourism District, located in the Colina Bella sector, at kilometers 5 to 9, of the Caracas - La Guaira Highway, during a day led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The minister stated that, thanks to President Maduro's guidelines, all the dividing lines that existed between the People, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the political leadership have been dissolved.

“The entire Bolivarian National Armed Forces have united with the people organized in defense tasks and comprehensive actions.”

In this regard, he pointed out that this constant articulation demonstrates the “unitary will to defend our territory”, and added that this reinforces the concept of national union in the tasks of defense and sovereignty.

He also argued that as a result of the civic-military maneuvers promoted, conducted and activated by the head of state, the FANB has been integrated and strengthened together with the popular organization in the tasks of comprehensive defense of the nation.
